Ok, I got the bug and need to GM again.  I decided on Star Wars.  I'll be using the WEG d6 system 'cause as well all know d20 sucks.

The time is 10 years after episode 3.  The place, the planet Telur.  A place so far from any action that Tatooine gets a McDonalds first.

So a brief history of the planet.

-300,000 years: First Human Expansion STL probes and Biopackages

-200,000 years: Genetic engineering advances and human immortality

-175,000 years: War of the Gods, Advanced forced evolution for infantry, Use of hardware discouraged, Midichlorines developed to try to create a galactic hive mind.

-125,000 years: End of the war, Many planets devastated, Most immortals pass on but some still remain. Dark ages, Space flight lost

-75,000 years: Lost bioprobe hits Telur. Fast evolution but no midichlorines

-25,000 years: Telur habitable

-10,000 years: First human colonization. Colony Fails

-2,000 years: Telur recolonized

Telur:

Shallow seas <300m, mostly islands. Two large continents are on the poles.

Most life is amphibious. Top predator is a 200’ centipedes called Worms.

All speeders are fitted with subsonic sirens to scare Worms. Works well except it annoys and enrages mating Worms.

Worms breed in the same area all the time (due to temp). Very loyal to eggs but when hatched the parents leave. Then another pair move into the territory.

Young Worm provide important nutrition to humans on Telur. It is a status symbol not to have to take supplements but eat young worm.

Telur very independent. No council seat. Currently in a Feudal system but not calcified. Mostly rivals are economic and status not combat.

No standard hierarchy, so counts, earls, etc all together.

Planet self sufficient, large asteroid belt provides metals.

Almost no export 1-2 ships/year. They trade exotics for otherworld tech..

You're running a Star Wars campaign on a rock where you can't be a Jedi. Interesting...

I had a need to explain why the force works the war it does and why there are force resistant beings. I will never come out in the game though but they meet an immortal.

Actually you can be a jedi. There is a retired jedi master on the planet. But the natives are Force resistance. It's a trap (snick) for the munchkin players. The fun comes later where the Jedi start showing off their powers, since it's been a decade of no jedi; and Vader shows up. Hee Hee
